I love clothing with drama. I just do not like my life with drama- but clothing, give it to me all day long. These Lafayette 148 (on sale!) Ludlow wide leg pants give me all the excitement I can possibly get from an article of clothing. I practically wore them every chance I got while I was in Florida for the funeral and actually sported them for the service as well. They are just that comfy! Besides their maximum comfort level, these bad boys also do a magnificent job of camouflaging my thighs.
As I have gained weight, my shape has taken a slightly funny turn. Being that I do not have hips (saddlebags do not count), am straight waisted and have ample thighs, pants are always tricky for me. These Lafayette 148 pair help me create a shape because of their nipped in high waist and the volume of the thigh area. I also tried to draw the eye in and create a waist with the angled cut outs in the tank top. I am seriously in love with them and will be adding a few more colors to my wardrobe! One of my biggest goals for 2016 is dressing for my body shape and not just the clothes that I like. I believe fit is really important, and I am going to do my best to pay closer attention to that aspect of dressing!
Many thanks to my sister who snapped these for me. In 10 minutes time the sun began to set and we had to manage. Considering we did not use an external flash, I say these turned out pretty good for amateurs! I also realized how detail oriented my sis is and I love that in a photographer! She would tell me when things looked awkward or a hair was out of place instead of just snapping away. Although we did not have the best scenery ie. the power lines, all in all, I am pretty happy with how it all turned out!
Also in the spirit of being transparent well more transparent in 2016- I am sucking in with all my power. Literally using all of my abdominal muscles to make me look a little thinner in the waist. I know, I know I really should just invest in some shapewear instead but I see it as a mini workout (lol)!
Don’t mind some of my poses… it was all about elongating the figure and being dramatic like the pants.
Quick shout out to Adobe Lightroom 5 for making editing oh so easy! Since I do not have a working computer at home, I was overjoyed to be able to use it while at home in Florida with my parents. Another goal of mine in 2016 is to purchase the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Tablet with i7 as my new computer. After speaking to my super savvy cousins, I realized this is as powerful as a desktop or laptop, can be hooked up to a monitor AND runs photoshop and lightroom seamlessly!
