I am not a makeup girl. I am not a hair girl. Let me rephrase.. I dont like to do my own makeup and I don’t like to do my own hair. There is nothing enjoyable to me about detangling this mop and/or taming these eyebrows. But like everything I love the finished product. I am lazy. I was pretty excited to test out the new lip crayons from Burt’s Bees. I went into it thinking there were going to be light in pigment and more chapsticky and I was correct on the latter solely because of their moisture richness. I literally felt like I have lip balm on but it was a deeply pigmented vampy red properly named Napa Vineyard! Being that I do not wear lipstick on a daily basis… my makeup regimen consists of concealer, bronzer in the T-zone and mascara, I knew I needed to incorporate a more au naturel color of these lip crayons to my look. I was really stuck between Sedona Sands or Hawaiian Smolder. But in the end the pinkier version won and I walked away with Hawaiian Smolder and am delighted with it. What is totally crazy is that I took a tissue and roughly wiped off the color and its been 30 minutes and my lips still feel soft and not one bit dry. I literally am sold and I really hope they release some more colors… I am thinking a deep purple, a bright red, and a classic nude for those of us with darker skin.
