Last weekend I had the honor of assisting in styling the models for Chris Brown’s Black Pyramid line at the premier fashion event, Crystal Couture. Although it was a crazy amount of work and endless hours backstage, I have never felt more alive! Since I was 8 years old, my love of all things fashion related has been at the forefront of my passion list and working with all the creatives at Crystal Couture solidified that working in this industry is what makes my heart pitter patter.
For the final night, I decided to rock an all black outfit and jazz up my favorite spring sandals with mesh socks. Initially the socks were worn a bit high on the ankle but later decided to make it look as if the mesh was part of the shoe.
I did not get a chance to take many runway pics because I was backstage during the models walking out but I did have my awesome partner in crime snapping away and he did such an amazing job. I am incredibly proud of him and even more proud that Chris Brown reposted a few of his snaps on his instagram!
This is not one of my regularly deep posts. I am still very tired and trying to prepare for New York Fashion Week. While there, I plan on not only attending shows, meeting with brands (cant wait till I can disclose who), and shooting street style. But till I leave on Thursday, I will be working super hard on my 9-5 and trying to get all the rest in the world.
Before I stop typing on this here keyboard though, I would love you all to check out Black Pyramid. Whatever people may think of some of the trouble that its creator has gotten into, that is personal stuff. We all do things in our personal lives that we are not proud of. That is being human. Putting his personal life which was made public because of his celebrity status aside- his collection is beyond DOPE! It is the perfect symbiotic relationship between pure art, sports and comfort.
