So I have to admit something that I am rather ashamed of….. I’m a cheater. I have been drooling over jackets with leather sleeves but have not found one in my price range that I am in love with so I cheated and made one up. I had it in my head that I really wanted to wear something like this on my next casual day at work so I took my favorite leather jacket and layered my ultra versatile Old Navy military inspired vest over it and poof made my own “jacket”! Some of you would call me a counterfeiter and some will call me a creative genius, regardless of the label chosen for me, I look pretty darn good in this ensemble (lol). My intentions were to take pictures during my lunch hour but alas I had no one to snap my outfit of the day. While strolling on M Street, I walked into Walgreens and found these mirrored aviator glasses for 5.99 and of course had to grab them. My collection of sunnies grows and I have no intentions on ever stopping. Some people live by statement jewelry, or “arm parties”, shoes, handbags but for me its all about a great pair of shades!!!!!
After work I met up with one of my blogger bff’s Naja to catch up and celebrate some great blogger opporutnities coming up for the both of us. So proud of her being featured on Essence as a top YouTube Beauty Blogger and being a finalist to be marketing specialist for Diddy. We headed over to The Front Page in DuPont Circle and indulged in their ultra cheap happy hour specials and had a mini photoshoot right in front of the restaurant. When I first started blogging, I would hide in alleys to take pictures with my tripod and now I will snap a picture in the middle of a busy street without even a thought. One of my favorite things about this endeavor is the confidence it has brought me!
p.s. These booties are a fave pair of shoes of mine solely because they can hold the spot of the Freja Booties I hope to get one day!
